Meet Mark Oppenlander from Taylor's Music!

Mark Oppenlander, a music teacher at Taylor's Music in Westchester, shares his long-standing connection to the studio in a YouTube video titled "Meet Mark Oppenlander from Taylor's Music!".

With 43 years of experience, Oppenlander began taking lessons there as a child and has since witnessed numerous changes. He primarily teaches guitar but also offers lessons for ukulele and bass guitar.

Oppenlander's students range from young children to senior citizens, and he caters to various skill levels. He takes pride in helping students reach their goals and enjoys making the learning process enjoyable.

Oppenlander's passion for music started at a young age when he began taking piano lessons at four. He was influenced by The Beatles and Dixie Dregs and has been practicing for over 50 years.

He shares stories about opening for the Dixie Dregs in 1992 and having a student, CJ, who went on to attend the Paul Green School of Rock and become the star of a Jack Black movie. Oppenlander also discusses his band, One Alternative, which started in 1983 and has grown to include various instruments.

He writes out music sheets for alternative albums meticulously and enjoys the process as it allows him to channel his love for drawing and calligraphy.
